Morso, the pasta and grappa restaurant bar concept, has confirmed the launch of a £250,000 equity fundraising campaign on Crowdcube, as flagged up by MCA in November 2018.

The concept, which has a restaurant in St. John’s Wood, plans to open two more restaurants this year by selling 11.9% of the company’s equity.

Founders Paolo Vernetti, Vanessa Vaz, Barry McCaughley and Barak Peled have appointed Simon Kaye, the ex-iNTERTAIN chief operating officer, and recently appointed managing director of East Coast Concept, to the role of non-executive director.

Peled said: “We are very happy with the way business had been going, and with the possibility of reaching more communities this year. Crowdcube gives our community a unique opportunity to support our growth and to invest in actual equity early on in the life of a proven business model.”

The campaign has raised £35,000 with 24 days to go.
