Artisan, the Manchester-based casual-dining bar restaurant site from Living Ventures, experienced double-digit growth in the year to 31 March 2015, with revenue up 37% to £3.7m.

The Spinningfields-based, 250-capacity restaurant saw EBITDA grow by 152% to £452.4k (2014: £178.9k).

Living Ventures managing director Paul Moran told M&C that the site had experienced a strong performance in December so far, “above expected projections” and that the the company was actively looking for other city centre opportunities to expand the brand and would be “looking to locate a second venue” in the new year.

It has a site lined up at the Buchanan Galleries development in Glasgow for 2018.

Following the year end, the company extended the original Spinningfields site with the opening of a ground floor extension available for private hire and a second private dining room for 30 people, adding to the private facilities already on offer in the city centre venue.

Moran said: “Artisan continues to go from strength to strength and remains one of the most popular restaurants in our Manchester portfolio. The extensions to our private dining capability in response to huge demand for our existing facilities show how flexible the business is across the corporate and leisure markets.”
