Moët Hennessy, the French wine and spirits company, is to combine its US sales and marketing operations into a single company. Moët Hennessy USA will be made up of the three separate sales and marketing companies currently set up by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy in the US. Cristophe Navarre, head of Moët Hennessy, said the move was: "A logical step in our global strategy to be leaders in super premium wines and spirits." Despite the weak dollar Navarre said the US is currently the company's "most dynamic market, accounting for 40% of Moët Hennessy's profitability today". The US company will be responsible for marketing the company's brands including Hennessy Cognac, Moët & Chandon, and Dom Perignon. As part of the company's focus on premium brands it has disposed of Pommery and Canard Duchene champagnes and Hine cognac. LVMH will now also take control of the 30% of the US Belvedere Vodka company that it does not yet own.
