Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has reported trading since reopening is ahead of forecasts, though difficult to project how the trends will develop.

Reporting financial results for the year to 31 August 2019, the restaurant operator said it acted decisively in the face of the pandemic, and was able to support its staff.

The report outlines plans to roll out Bread Street Kitchen across the UK, as well as various casual and quick service concepts across Asia.

The group said it believes it can open up to 50 sites over the next five years.

A third Street Pizza will open in Southwark this year, and new sites under its Street Burger concept will open inside and outside London.

Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill is set to launch in Macau, China, in Autumn 2020.

A license agreement in France has been renewed for a further five years.

Consolidated turnover for year grew 2.1% to £54.7m, driven by strong underlying like for like sales, digital investment and guest retention.

Profit before tax was £15.2m (2018: £0.5m).
