Freshcut Foods, the Nottingham-based supplier, has been acquired in a deal backed by investment firm Perwyn.

Freshcut employs a workforce of 250 across two manufacturing sites in the city and has been bought from its owner managers Adam Clarke and Peter Clee.

Manchester-based Pannone Corporate advised on the acquisition.

The buyout was led by chief executive David Bondi and the incumbent management team, with Perwyn now set to support the company’s growth, driven by deeper penetration of its customers’ supply chain and attractive underlying demand trends towards a healthier, vegetable-rich diet.

The Pannone Corporate team included Tim Hamilton, Mark Winthorpe, Andrew Walsh and Katie Ward.

Peter Clee and Adam Clarke believe Perwyn’s culture and values are a “natural fit with Freshcut”.
