Dishoom has reported that trading has continued during 2022 to grow and guest numbers have returned to pre-Covid levels.

The company said the return to previous levels of demand in the existing restaurants, and the addition of delivery and at home channels, have “significantly increased revenues” vs the period prior to the pandemic.

Dishoom was reporting historic full year results up to 26 December 2021.

Turnover was £57.65m (2020 - £29.18m) – a 98.6% rise as a result of reopening of restaurants following covid-19 closures.

Adjusted EBITDA was £3.8m (2020 - loss of £0.84m). Profit before tax was £1.51m (2020: loss of £3.77m).

During 2021, the company opened two delivery kitchens, and continues to evaluate potential new openings.

During 2021 the company continued to donate meals to feed children in the UK and India and provided 50,000 meals to NHS workers and hospitals across the UK.

Charitable donations amounted to £233,000.
