Costa Coffee’s sales performance in the UK and China drove 10% revenue growth for Coca-Cola’s Global Ventures division.

The US beverage group achieved 6% total revenue growth to reach $12bn in the three months ended 30 June 2023.

Coco-Cola acquired Costa Coffee for £3.9bn ($5.4bn) in 2018.

It sits in Global Ventures alongside other acquisitions and investment brands including Monster energy drinks, Innocent juices and smoothies and Dogadan Tea.

In the overall drinks mix, coffee grew by 5%, primarily driven by the strong performance of Costa coffee in the United Kingdom and China.

Costa Coffee is Europe’s largest coffee chain with 3,122 outlets across 18 markets.

It has around 2,700 UK stores in addition to more than 1,100 outlets internationally.
