Uber Eats UK general manager Matthieu Proust has left the delivery platform, MCA understands.

Proust has left to pursue other opportunities while Toussaint Wattinne remains the general manager for the UK.

The new comes after Uber announced Rodrigo Arévalo, previously the company’s head of Latin America, as the new Uber Eats regional general manager Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Arévalo is credited with building Uber’s business in Latin America into one the fastest growing and most profitable region in the world, and will be tasked with competing with Deliveroo and Just Eat.

He said: “Uber Eats is thriving in one of the most competitive markets globally for food delivery, having experienced tremendous growth over the past 18 months. I’m thrilled to be joining the EMEA team, and I can’t wait to lead the next stage of growth for our business as we double down on offering the best food delivery experience for our customers in the region.”
