John Harrison, the co-founder of Marylebone Warwick Balfour (MWB), the former owner of the Hotel du Vin and Malmaison chains, is backing a new Chinese delivery and restaurant concept called Zing Zing, which is set to launch in London this summer.

Zing Zing, which is the brainchild of Josh Magidson, will open its first site this summer in Highbury Islington, before looking at further opportunities in the capital.

The new group also includes Mark Magidson as a director, who was previously behind Sam’s Diner in Piccadilly.

Harrison co-founded MWB with Richard Balfour-Lynn in 1992 and remained a director of the company until 2011.

In 2005, he established through IPO the APN/UKA European Retail Trust which raises capital in Australia to invest on behalf of Shareholders in European Retail Assets.
