Deliveroo, the fast-growing online delivery platform, has launched the trial of a new lunchtime service called RooBites, MCA understands.

The service offers to deliver lunches for just £10 in 10 minutes or less.

It is understood that the new service is being trialled in selected sites with Leon, POD, Coco di Mama and Detox Kitchen.

Earlier this year, Deliveroo began a trial with BrewDog to deliver its beer from a select number of the operator’s bars in London.

It is understood that the trial is so far running through BrewDog’s sites in Shoreditch, Clapham and Clerkenwell, with consumers able to order single cans and bottles, plus four packs of the bar operator’s own-brand beers.

It is thought that the trial could be the first step in Deliveroo making a bigger move into delivering alcohol from a number of wet-led businesses. It has also linked up with wine bar and shop concept Vagabond.
