Deliveroo will launch the first regional site under its Editions kitchen-only concept this week in Hove.
MCA understands that the site at Saxon Works in Olive Road, Hove, will feature GBK and Thaikhun alongside local operators Moshimo, Chilli Pickle and VIPizza.
By the end of 2017, Deliveroo expects to be working with more than 200 restaurant operators at 30 different sites, with around five or six at each site.
It already operates four Editions sites in the capital and is understood to have lined up a site in Reading for a further regional launch under the concept.
Thaikhun, the Thai Leisure Group-owned brand, told MCA earlier this month that it was set to offer a “highlights” version of its main menu and pre-bottled cocktails when it makes its Deliveroo Editions debut in Hove.
The company told MCA that it has been tweaking and experimenting with a ‘”highlights” version on its main menu for Deliveroo over the past few months in its existing sites.
The group said: “This will continue to be developed. Key changes have included the removal of dishes that simply don’t travel well, kids sized portions and upgraded size portions of the main courses. We are developing interesting new packaging, currently trialling concepts that would be first to the market. We are also developing a range of pre-bottled cocktails for the delivery market.”
The likes of MEATliquor, Rosa’s Thai and Busaba Eathai have launched Deliveroo Editions units.
