Deliveroo has appointed a new global property director for its Editions kitchens, as it looks to accelerate the expansion of the delivery-only model.

David Ives joins from Primark, where he was the head of new markets for seven years, and was responsible for all aspects of clothing retailer’s real estate acquisitions in the UK and abroad.

Prior to this, Ives worked for Cushman & Wakefield in London and Pairs.

His appointment comes as Deliveroo looks to expand its Editions offering, with 37 kitchens worldwide, and 18 sites in the UK.

This includes eleven in London, hosting 60 restaurant groups across the country. The firm recently opened three new sites, in Bristol, Wandsworth and Bermondsey, housing restaurants including family-favourites Shake Shack, Pho and Dishoom.

The Bristol line-up includes Zumu, The Athenian, Pasta Evangelists, Coqfighter, Kricket, Kokoro, with Byron, Oowee Diner and Honi Poke/Sushi launching soon.

David Ives said: “I am thrilled to join Deliveroo as it looks to further expand its Editions portfolio into new markets. Competition for prime, urban locations is high, and I am looking forward to bringing forward new sites where there is strong customer demand for delivery, and expanding the choice available to our customers.”
