A revival in homoerotic comics for women in Japan has led to the rise of the comic-themed cafe.
Edelstein cafe, in Tokyo, for example, employs waiters chosen for their androgynous looks and ability to play their part in bizarre rituals taken from the pages of a manga comic.
The cafe is built to resemble and old-fashioned boarding-school.
