Wrapchic, the Birmingham-based Indian burrito concept, is to make its international debut later this month, after signing a franchise deal to launch in the Middle East.

The 10-strong group, which is led by managing director and founder of Mahesh Raikar, will open its first site in the region in Burjuman Mall at the end of this month.

At the same time, it is continuing its UK roll out with sites opening in Sheffield and Marylebone Station. It is to close its site in Beak Street, Soho this weekend and transfer staff to the Marylebone site.

It also has sites in Leeds and Glasgow under development as it looks to open six sites in total by the end of this year.

The group currently has four franchisees and works with Compass on a number of sites.

Last November, the company a franchise site in conjunction with Aravind Venkana at Westfield’s Broadway scheme in Bradford.
