Wrapchic, the Birmingham-based Indian burrito concept, has lined up a further two shopping scheme openings as it looks to ramp up its expansion programme over the next 12 months.

The group, which is led by Mahesh Raiker, is understood to have lined openings over the next few months in Merry Hill, Dudley and Midsummer Place, Milton Keynes.

The 10-strong group recently opened it first franchise site in conjunction with Aravind Venkana at Westfield’s Broadway scheme in Bradford.

“I was looking for an interesting blend of Indian and Mexican flavours in the food-to-go sector and Wrapchic certainly delivers on this,” said Venkana. “I have spent several months modifying the premises at Westfield to provide a modern and welcoming environment for our customers to enjoy and I am pleased with the overall look and feel.”

Operators, including Taco Bell and Patisserie Valerie have also opened at the Broadway scheme.

The company, which launched in 2012, has retained property consultancy Harris Lamb to identify new city centre locations as it continues its aggressive growth programme.
