Darren Williams, who stepped down as commercial director of Paul UK, the London-based French bakery concept, earlier this year, has joined tea retailer T2 tea as its new international retail director, M&C understands.
Williams, who spent five years at Hotel Chocolat and in that time helped to the grow business from 29 to 77 sites, is to lead the expansion of the T2 tea brand in the the UK and USA.
The company currently operates six sites in the UK, after recently opening in Richmond.
Paul UK will open a second Restaurant De Paul at Tower 42 in the City this summer featuring an enhanced retail offer alongside an all-day French restaurant and wine bar.
A further two bakery openings are planned at Marble Arch and Birmingham for later on this year.
Earlier this year, it appointed Gary Cowles, formerly of Stonegate Pub Company and Mitchells & Butlers (M&B), as its new operations director.
