Vital Ingredient, the London-based tossed salad-to-go concept backed by American-Estonian real estate entrepreneur Paul Oberschneider, has launched its first loyalty card called Club Vital.

The 17-strong group is currently running an internal competition to see which of its stores can obtain the most subscriptions to the new scheme that allows consumers to earn points and redeem against purchases across its estate.

Cardholders will also enjoy free wifi and special bonus point promotions.

Earlier this summer, the company appointed Paolo Peretti, who has previously held senior roles with Pret A Manger, BHS and SSP, as its new managing director.

Most recently Peretti was operations director, Restaurants at The Sultan Center in the Middle East and also had a stint as an operations director at Leon.

He will be will be heading up Vital’s management team alongside recently appointed finance director John Moulton, which will operate the company’s 17 central London stores and facilitate further expansion.

Founder Alex Heynes will focus on brand development and securing further outlets in central London, regional cities, shopping centres and travel hubs.

Last year, Vital appointed advisors as it sought to secure private equity funding to aid its next stage of development.
