Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons has confirmed it will open in Belfast’s Fountain Street next Friday.

The Belfast site is the brand’s first in Northern Ireland, and is part of a planned series of openings over the coming year, some of which will be Drive Thrus.

The first Tim Hortons in the UK opened its doors in Glasgow in June 2017 and the estate has now grown to 18.

Kevin Hydes, chief finance and commercial officer of the franchise in the UK said: “We are thrilled to be bringing our famous brewed coffee, baked goods and freshly-prepared food to the people of Belfast. Following the success of our recent Restaurant openings in Scotland, Wales and in England, we can’t wait to bring a taste of Canada to Northern Ireland at our new Restaurant and welcome new Guests to Tim Hortons”.
