A new concept backed by a Swedish coffee shop entrepreneur is fundraising for a planned expansion to seven sites within the next five years.

Kobo Café is the brainchild of Leo Stervander, who has brought on board Matteus Slivo, owner of Bara Vara Coffee Shop and coffee roastery Pennybridge Roasters.

The business has secured its first site on Upper Street, Islington, for an opening later this year.

It is now seeking £80,000 through the issuing of 262 new ordinary shares via Angel Investment Network.

The business plan when see an additional two cafés added over the next three years, followed by up to four cafes in the next two years.
