Wayne’s Coffee, Scandinavia’s leading coffee chain, is to make its UK debut next month in central London, MCA understands.

The company, which operates 140 sites worldwide, the majority across Scandinavia and the Middle East, is understood to have secured a unit on High Street Kensington.

The business, which was founded in Stockholm in 1994, is looking to initially open six sites in the capital and the South East, before exploring further expansion opportunities here.

The privately-owned company, which also operates sites in the Baltic region, has hired property agents KLM Retail to aid its expansion.

It is looking at major shopping centres and high streets for further growth opportunities, with target locations including Clapham, Richmond, Tunbridge Wells, Oxford and Guildford.
