Pure, the London-based healthy food on the go concept, has received approaches regarding new investment, as it looks to further expand in the capital, M&C understands.

The eight-strong group, which was formed in 2009 and led by Spencer Craig, is understood to have received interest from private equity and investment funds.

The company, which opened in Baker Street earlier this summer, plans to open a further three sites over the next year.

It is considering Holborn, Victoria and Mayfair as potential future venues for its next sites.

Spencer Craig, the director of Pure, told M&C he is targeting areas with dense office populations in central London for the breakfast and lunchtime markets.

Craig said this market is still a long way from saturation: “We could be in many areas without affecting our own business already.”

The group operates further sites in Soho, London Bridge, Fitzrovia, Covent Garden, Bank, Moorgate and Canary Wharf.

Pure was formed after a restructure of the Pure California business, which at one point operated five sites across central London.
