Pret A Manger has confirmed it is to relocate its head office in London’s Victoria station to Tishman Speyer’s nearby Verde development.

The company will take the 30,000sq ft first floor of the building, which was formerly called Eland House. The new site will also include the group’s development kitchen but its Pret Academy, which launched last year, will remain at the group’s current head office location in Wilton Road.

It will relocate when the scheme completes in August 2016.

Pret a Manger has also agreed a lease for a new ground floor shop at Verde.

Pret a Manger chief executive Clive Schlee said: “Victoria is the heartland of Pret and our office relocation comes exactly 30 years after we opened our very first shop, down the road on Victoria Street.”

Dan Nicholson, managing director of Tishman Speyer UK, added: “With six dramatic roof gardens, we are creating a workplace for the future at Verde SW1, designed with the wellbeing of workers and productive business in mind.”

Savills and Tuckerman acted as joint agents on behalf of Pret a Manger, whilst Cushman & Wakefield advised Tishman Speyer.
