Les Cafes VP, the Canadian operator of the Presse Cafe concept, is interested in launching in the UK, a spokeswoman has told M&C Report.
The group currently operates 125 sites in six countries and expects to reach 150 by the year end.
Les Cafes VP has opened a number of outlets in France as it tested the market in Europe. The spokeswoman said: “The idea is to expand a bit more in France and go to England as a second step.”
The firm would look for a master franchisee for a UK launch. “We are looking for passionate people. I think there’s great opportunity in England.”
Presse Cafe, which numbers 65 sites, has a significant food offer and specialises in “presswiches” alongside classic sandwiches, wraps, salads and bagels. Barista coffee is available.
Les Cafes VP, which also operates in Cyprus, Australia, Senegal and Morocco, has other concepts including Café Vienne and Green Traiteur & Café.
