Patisserie Valerie opened its first store in the Republic of Ireland this week.

The 148-strong chain has moved into the Debenhams store in Blanchardstown.

Paul May, chief executive of parent company Patisserie Holdings, said: “We’re very excited to be opening our first ever store in the Republic of Ireland, and continuing our partnership with Debenhams. We have had customers asking us to open a store here for a while, so we hope the people of Dublin enjoy their new store and the exquisite cakes and patisserie we have to offer!”
