High-profile chef Jamie Oliver has closed two of the three sites operating as Recipease, his food and kitchen store concept.

Oliver, which demerged the Recipease business into a separate vehicle from his other restaurant operations last year, has closed the sites in Brighton and Clapham, leaving a single unit in Notting Hill Gate open.

Earlier this year, the group launched a new café and cookery school format at the Brighton site.

Oliver launched Recipease in Clapham in February 2009, with the Brighton site following later this year, as part of plans to grow a chain of units under the format.

As part of the format customers can prepare their own dishes under the guidance of professional chefs.

The new format in the Brighton’s Western Road had a more evolved café offer than its sister concept, featuring a takeaway offer, sandwiches, cakes, toasties and coffee.
