Nudo Sushi Box, the fledgling grab and go operator, is set to make its debut in the north west, after securing a site in Manchester, M&C has learnt.

The concept, which is the brainchild of Karen Lau, has secured a site in the city’s Oxford Street. The site will become the group’s seventh overall and will be the first in what it hopes will be a number to open in the region.

The group currently operates five sites in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland and Durham, the latter opened this May in the Gates shopping centre.

Nudo Sushi Box is the sister concept to Lau’s Nudo Noodle House restaurant, which launched in Newcastle in 2009.

The first Sushi Box opened in 2013 in Northumberland Street, Newcastle.

Earlier this year, the company launched its first franchise offer. The franchise fee for one Nudo Sushi Box outlet is £40,000 + VAT.
