Miss Macaroon, a new patisserie concept specialising in macarons led by the Michelin-trained pastry chef Rosie Gindlay, plans to open 100 shops and concessions in the UK over the next five years.

The company has appointed Midlands-based property advisor Boston Fieldgate to oversee its expansion with the first site expected to come online before the end of the year and further two set to follow by the start of next summer.

The group is targeting space in UK towns and cities including London, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol. It is looking for shops of 150 to 500 sq ft and is targeting shopping and leisure schemes, transport hubs and high-footfall locations.

Ginday agreed a deal last year with John Lewis to sell her products at its new Birmingham flagship at Grand Central.

The concept has received financial backing for its expansion from Black Country Reinvestment Society and Big Venture Challenge.
