Expanding international coffee and juice bar concept Joe and the Juice will make its debut in a UK airport later this year, after securing a site at Stansted.
The group, which currently operates 14 sites in the UK, has a secured a place in the final retail phase of the £80m terminal transformation at the airport.
Earlier this year, founder Kaspar Basse told M&C that the company plans to add 10 -15 UK outlets this year.
The company will further develop its retail partnership with John Lewis and Debenhams in cities around the country beginning in the north east and targetting shopping centres. It opened its first site within a John Lewis in Solihull which marked the company’s debut outside of London.
Further sites are due to open in central London as well as internationally in South Korea, Singapore and New York.
Joe & the Juice previously announced plans to open up to 250 stores internationally over the next three years, including a launch in the US in New York, having established Joe & the Juice bars in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Germany and the UK.
The company is backed by Swedish equity firm Valedo and the growth is financed through this partnership as well as strong relationships with partners and suppliers.
