Tim Hall, the founder of the London-based healthy food-on-the-go concept POD, has resigned from the board and as an advisor to the 22-strong company following what he has described as “a turbulent year for the group”.

M&C revealed in October that Hall and co-founder Kate Skerritt were to step aside from the day-to-day running of the business to pursue a new venture, with stepping into a non-executive board and advisory role at the company.

Hall said: “I have now extracted myself entirely from the business to focus on a series of exciting new projects in the sector, details to follow.”

During his time, at the company, Hall oversaw like-for-like annual growth of 17% for the business and launched new partnerships with Starbucks and SSP.

Tim Bartam, the group’s finance director, is believed to be overseeing the day-to-day running of POD, while its backers and current operational team decide on a future leadership structure for the brand.

Skerritt has since joined Le Pain Quotidien as its head of sales and retail development.
