Foodco UK has lined up the third site for Jamaica Blue, its Australia-inspired casual dining brand, in Leeds.
The group, which also operates the Muffin Break format in the UK, has secured a unit in the Trinity scheme in the city for an opening before the end of the year.
Bakery café group Muffin Break has 250 stores worldwide, 60 in the UK – plus a further 10 in the pipeline; while stablemate Jamaica Blue has 150 stores worldwide, with its second UK store opening in Chelmsford in September, and a further three planned.
Jamaica Blue made its debut in the UK in Cambridge’s Lion Yard shopping centre at the end of 2014.
Foodco is led in the UK by Lisa Brook, formerly of Patisserie Holdings.
Earlier this summer, Brook told MCA that the company was looking to explore the franchise to further expand Jamaica Blue in the UK.
She also said that the company was looking to target Ireland for expansion for both brands.
