Esquires Coffee, the Canadian franchised coffee shop group, is overhauling its menu with a food programme rolled-out to its 24 cafes this week as part of its wider rebranding programme.

It includes new sandwiches such as jerk chicken with pinto beans flatbread, mushroom cheddar and gruyere croque, falafel wrap with harissa and hummus.

The packaging was designed with the focus on creating a modern, artisanal look; made up of greaseproof paper wraps illustrated with quirky designs and the tagline ‘so lovingly made for you’ and ‘Great Coffee Helps.’

Esquires is in the process of rebranding its estate with an updated look and feel to attract higher footfall to its stores and ultimately result in increasing sales. The group said the rebrand, which began in September last year, is aiming to position Esquire as a main player within the UK premium coffee market.

Kerry Noble, marketing manager for Esquires, told M&C the design is intended to look more artisanal with greater attention paid to shop displays and emphasising local accents as well as the packaging and menu changes.
