Esquires Coffee, the Canadian franchised coffee shop group, has lined up its next three stores to open in Q1 2016 as part of “aggressive” growth plans.

The group is looking to grow an estate of 200 units across the UK by 2020 to become one of the main players in the UK coffee shop scene.

Its next sites will open at the Waterside shopping centre in Lincoln, the new Yate Riverside development in South Gloucestershire and in the new Xchange development in Bradford City Centre in the spring next year.

The new sites will all feature the re-branded look that Esquire has now introduced to nine of its existing shops. The most recent to re-open with the new look is in Sunderland at The Bridges shopping centre.

The refurbishment began last year to reflect Esquires’ market positioning as an authentic and artisanal coffee brand. The company told M&C it plans to have re-branded the entire estate by Q3 2016.

The refurbishments have been coupled with a new menu and Fairtrade and organic certification for all its coffee.
