Dunkin’ Donuts, the doughnut retailer and cafe chain, has continued its expansion by securing sites for upcoming openings at St Albans in Hertfordshire and Wood Green in north London, M&C Report has learnt.

They are to join other forthcoming London openings in Woolwich, Ealing and Morden, as well as Basildon in Essex.

Dunkin’ Donuts opened a site in Hounslow in July.

The group is targeting 150 UK restaurants over the next five years. Speaking to M&C Report in December, Dunkin’ Brands UK general manager Jim Johnstone said the firm has a long term plan to open at least 1,000 UK sites.

Other recent expansion has focused on ‘Donut Cabinets’ at motorway service stations after singing a partnership with Welcome Break in June. Dunkin’ Donuts has also increased its London presence at concession stands within WH Smith stores at Marylebone Station, Euston Station and Victoria Station, in addition to a concession stand at WH Smith in Reading.
