Café and donut chain Dunkin’ Donuts is opening its first central London site today in more than 20 years in Marylebone.

The site at 191 Baker Street will be an express restaurant serving up donuts and coffee as well as providing a delivery service to offices and local businesses.

Multiple franchise operator Ketan Patel of DDMG Ltd, told M&C he plans to open more central London restaurants after Baker Street as part of plans to open at least 25 units over five years.

Patel opened the first Dunkin’ Donut store since the brand was relaunched in the UK in Harrow in 2013.

He told M&C that Baker Street was on his radar from the beginning but securing property was difficult so he opened in St Albans and Wood Green during that time before finding the site.

DDMG holds the franchise rights to north west London inside of the M25 as well as north towards Milton Keynes and Luton.

Patel said certain trade areas have been highlighted for the location of the next Dunkin’ Donuts: “We have a good mixture of suburban sites but the focus now is on central London.”

The Express site will be open from 7am to 10pm Monday – Friday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays.

It will serve all the hot and cold drinks available at other Dunkin’ Donut restaurants as well as 16 varieties of donuts but a limited choice of grab and go sandwiches due to space restrictions.
