Doubts have been cast on the future of Suchef, the healthy fast food concept from the Aroma Food Group (UK), after the company sold its site near St Paul’s to a new fast casual concept, Vita Mojo.

Suchef, which launched last year and has four further sites in the capital has posted a message on its website stating: “Thank you for your custom. Suchef has now closed.” It is thought that operations director Mikhail Shiyanov has also left the business.

Vita Mojo, which will open next week, has been founded by Stefan Catoiu, Nick Popvici and former Chilango senior manager Eli Nadel.

The concept will have a major focus on “healthy cooking and full visibility on what we do and how we do it”. A full official opening will take place next month.

Earlier this year, Shiyanov said he believed Suchef had the potential to operate 12 – 15 central London sites.

Last year Suchef opened at Cowcross Street, Farringdon, Mansell Street, Aldgate, City Road and Old Street
