Coco di Mama, the Azzurri Group-owned, quick-service Italian concept, will open two sites next month in the City, with the latter marking its tenth opening on the fifth anniversary of the business being founded.

The group will open on the former TM Lewis site in Bow Lane and Cowcross Street next month.

At the same time, the group, which is in advanced talks on a further two sites, has begun a trial of a new Roobites service with Deliveroo, which is for delivery orders under £10 and within 10 minutes, through its Margaret Street unit.

The concept, which is led by Daniel Land and Jeremy Sanders, was acquired by the Azzurri Group last year in a deal believed to be valued at c£12m.

The group reported sales of £4.7m in its last financial year and should see revenues exceed £7.5m this year.

Last year, Steve Holmes, chief executive of the Azzurri Group, told M&C the group’s acquisition of Coco Di Mama could see it grow to 40 sites in the next couple of years.
