Coco Di Mama, the Azzurri Group-backed, quick-service Italian concept, will today open its 21st site in the capital.

MCA understands that the company has secured the former Yumchaa site in Tottenham Street, Fitzrovia, for its latest opening.

The chain opened its twentieth site last month in the Broadway shopping centre, in a unit alongside Pret A Manger, Leon and Wasabi.

The group opened sites at the White City Place development and at Capital House, 85 King William Street at the end of last year.

Azzurri’s chief executive Steve Holmes previously said that the brand could reach 40 sites in the capital in the medium term.

Coco di Mama is currently being led by interim managing director Roberto Moretti.

Last October, MCA reported that Yumchaa, the speciality tea and café concept, had been placed on the market.

Advisors at Restaurant Property had been appointed to market the group’s seven sites, which are spread across London and include sites in Brick Lane, King’s Cross, Putney and Soho.
