A London DJ and a Citigroup veteran have teamed up to launch a raw food and cold press juice concept in St Pauls.
DJ Asad Naqvi has teamed with 14-year Citigroup employee Rahil Malik developed the concept with nutritionist, Alice Mackintosh and Shot’s executive chef Darrin Jacobs (owner of Luc’s Brasserie and formally F&B Director of Café Med).
The seasonal menu will be cooked on site daily, is entirely free from refined sugar, additives and preservatives and will use 85% raw and 15% minimally processed ingredients.
Dishes will include a baked sweet potato, quinoa falafel and cauliflower rice tabouleh salad with cucumber tahini mint yoghurt dressing; and a spicy chicken Pho made from a house made ‘bone broth; sous-vide chicken, and gluten free sweet potato and buckwheat noodles. Shot will also stock a large range of cold press juices, health ‘Shots’ and super-food smoothies.
The site’s interior has been designed by architects Wilson Holloway and will have an “avant-garde look and feel”.
Shot is due to open in spring and will also offer nutritional consultations .
