Healthy food to go concept Chop’d is preparing to open its 12th London site at Triton Square, near London’s Euston Station, M&C Report has learnt.

The 900sq ft site will be the third upcoming opening for the Eddie Holmes-led company when it opens in late March.

The company recently opened at Citypoint on Ropemaker Street and on Mark Lane near Fenchurch Street station as part of plans to reach 30 London sites in the next five years after securing £2m in funding from Calculus Capital in exchange for a 40% stake in the business last June.

Holmes told M&C that 2015 has started well: “Generally January was very very encouraging with sales up significantly and app sales up dramatically.”

There are two mobile order and pay apps that Chop’d uses – one with Orego and its own-branded Chop’d app that Holmes said has led to “dramatic” sales increases both online and in-store since it has been fully operational since Christmas.

Holmes said the service resonates with customers because it gives customers two ways of getting in to buy their food, which along with the recently launched healthy meal plan service has boosted sales from both existing and new customers looking for a healthy eating service.
