The founders of new sandwich deli Café Mish at Shepherd Street, Mayfair, have already begun to search for locations for the next site, M&C has learnt.

Café Mish, which officially opened its doors yesterday serving roasted meat sandwiches to take away, is looking at premium locations in central London to grow the group.

Operations manager Gush Jutley said as a premium offering – with all meats roasted on site in a restaurant sized kitchen – Café Mish would remain a niche concept but believes it would work well in similar locations in London.

He said Shepherds Market in Mayfair is well suited to the niche offering, which is intended to be purchased as a weekly rather than a daily treat.

Jutley has worked with restauranteurs behind Le Menar in Fitzrovia to develop the concept. Café Mish offers roasted lamb, pork and salt beef in sandwiches to echo traditional deli-sandwich shops that were commonplace 20 years ago.

Freshly made cakes, snacks and premium coffee are also available throughout the day.
