Cliff Burrows, who heads Starbucks’ operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa, has been appointed president of the coffee giants’ US business. Burrows, who is a former managing director of Starbucks Coffee Company UK, is to replace Launi Skinner, who resigned from the company after serving only six months in the role. In a statement, the group said that Skinner had chosen to step down in order to spend more time with her family. The move came amid a series of recent management changes in the company, following the return of chairman Howard Schultz as chief executive in January.
