London-based Brew Café has appointed Julien Maisonneuve as head of food and beverages to bring new and innovative dishes to the Brew menu.
Maisonneuve was previously head chef in Michelin-starred Tom Aikens Restaurant before taking over as executive chef of the St Pancras Renaissance hotel.
He said about Brew: “They really impressed me with the level they were at and how much they cared about their kitchens and the food they created. I wanted to be part of what was going on – it was obviously a very special place for me having the same food ethos and having a chance to do what I love and create great food.”
The Jason Wells-led café group recently added a Chiswick site to open this autumn and is seeking properties across London.
It currently operates sites in Wimbledon Village, Old York Road, and Northcote Road as well as a site in Maida Vale that is due to open subject planning to restrictions.
Wells told M&C last year: “I think we can get to 10 sites before we start to look outside of town and then just keep growing.
“We have queues all weekend because we give people really simple, honest service. I think it’s the Australian thing coming through – you know where you are and what you are getting.”
