Boston Tea Party, the coffee shop group founded in Bristol, is set to open its second site in Bath.

The 16-strong group, which is led by Sam Roberts, has secured a site in the city’s Alfred Street for an opening later this year. It will join the concept’s site in the city’s Kingsmead Square.

The company, which earlier this year opened its first site in Plymouth, in the city’s Sutton Harbour, will open its third venue in Birmingham in the Moseley area of the city in the autumn.

It is planning its next sites to broaden the reach of BTP across southern and eastern England.

Earlier this year, marketing manager Ben Hibbard told M&C: “We are looking at various places across the south including Bournemouth, Southampton, Cardiff, Brighton and Winchester – any market towns across the south. The thought is we could potentially do a fourth in Birmingham then look to see how we could progress eastward and across the south as well.”
