Boston Tea Party, the Bristol-based independent café chain, is looking to grow outside its South West heartland.

The 11-strong chain, which counts Giles Clarke, the chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board, as a director and is led by Sam Roberts, is currently eyeing sites in the Midlands and the South East alongside further sites in the South West.

Earlier this year, it hired Nick Darnbrough, former head of hospitality at the Eden Project, as its first operations director.

Darnbrough, who joined the chain after over four years at the Eden Project, is heading up the expansion drive.

The chain opened its latest site and first in Hampshire at the end of last year in Ringwood.

It recently launched its first sandwich range.
