Baguette Express, the UK-based sandwich chain, is set to open its second site in London and has revealed progress on overseas openings in Ireland and Dubai.

A site in Fleet Street has been secured for the latest UK opening for the operator. It will be run by the same franchisee who operates its Canary Wharf outlet.

Last year Baguette Express agreed master franchise deals to introduce the brand to Ireland and the United Arab Emirates.

The company said it has secured a first Irish site in Dublin that it will open soon and be “the first of many” in the country.

It has also opened three outlets in Dubai, with plans to open a further three before the end of the year.

Founded in 1999 in Scotland by brothers Robin and Billy Stenhouse, Baguette Express is offering country master franchise licences from £150,000 to £350,000 with additional working capital required to grow the business.
