Camerons Brewery, the North East England brewer, has seen a decline in pre-tax profits to £1.6m for the year ending 26 April 2009, from £5.7m the previous year. The company said that the fall was due to investment in brewery equipment and in the pub estate. In its latest set of annual accounts, turnover for the year dropped from £53.2m to £52.4m.
