Veeno, the Italian wine café concept, is eyeing international expansion through the launch of a franchising model.
The group, which will open its 11th site in Chester next week, has said its immediate focus is the UK but that it also plans to roll out to Ireland, Scandinavia and the Far East.
Veeno Franchising is a joint venture between Veeno and Sviluppo Franchising, which specialises in creating and developing franchise networks in Italy. The group said its ambition was “to build the most successful international Italian Wine Cafè Franchise operating on the market”.
Last month co-founder Andrea Zecchino told MCA the group would look to add 10 sites in 2017 as it eyes an estate of 80 by 2020.
Zecchino, who founded the group with Nino Caruso, said in 2017 Veeno would target locations such as Cambridge, Glasgow, Newcastle, Bath, Oxford and Birmingham, and has previously told MCA it would look to double up in some cities.
