Philip Jansen, head of the European division of Sodexo, is to join rival food firm Brakes as chief executive.
Jansen will take up his new post in February after five years at Sodexo succeeding Frank McKay who is retiring.
Brakes, owned by Bain Capital, is the leading supplier of meals to UK restaurants and pubs.
