Heston Blumenthal has closed his Michelin-starred restaurant in Berkshire after up to 40 diners fell ill.
The chef said that The Fat Duck in Bray had temporarily stopped trading since Tuesday while environmental health officers investigated the incident.
Blumenthal is set to lose about £80,000, after reservations for the next few days have been cancelled.
He said that he planned to reopen the premises on Wednesday.
