The fashionable private members' club Soho House has taken over the Electric Cinema, one of the UK's oldest purpose-built picture houses, in London's Portobello Road.
There are plans to convert the 90-year-old Grade II listed building into a luxury, sofa-seated cinema for about 100 people.
Soho House also wants to open a bar and brasserie, and to establish a separate cinema club called Electric House.
